Fairfax is a perfect 10-0 against Central since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Stampede will face off against the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fairfax has four straight victories, Central has 17 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Fairfax made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Copper Canyon, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Stampede put the hurt on the Aztecs with a sharp 14-4 win on Friday.

Isaiah Balderas made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Fairfax is 3-1 when Balderas allows three or fewer earned runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Balderas was even better at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alexander Tovar, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vincent Quadrozzi, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Fairfax kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Central fell victim to Crismon and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Rattlers, falling 27-0.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Fairfax, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fairfax has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .542. It's a different story for Central, though, as they've only averaged .289. Will they be able to contain Fairfax's hitters?
Fairfax beat Central 7-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Stampede repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
