The Geneva Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Santa Fe Catholic Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Geneva is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
With a playoff game on the line, Geneva rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Storm 5-1. The result was nothing new for Geneva, who have now won 11 contests by three goals or more so far this season.
They hit Victory Christian Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Emma Keys (2),
Ella Petersen (2), and
Chaley Covelli.
Meanwhile, Santa Fe Catholic sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Orangewood Christian on Tuesday. The win was just what Santa Fe Catholic needed coming off of a 5-0 loss in their prior game.
Geneva is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Santa Fe Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3-4.
Geneva beat Santa Fe Catholic 4-2 in their previous meeting back in February of 2021. Does Geneva have another victory up their sleeve, or will Santa Fe Catholic turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
