25. (11) Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.), 20-5Strong consideration was given here to unbeatens like
Brookfield Central (Wis.),
Cardinal Hayes (Bronx, N.Y.),
Potomac (Dumfries, Va.) and
Sagemont (Weston, Fla.). All of those teams will have the opportunity to prove their worth in the coming weeks. After falling to No. 7 St. John's last week, Paul VI bounced back Sunday to beat 20-3 DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) on the road. The Panthers have played one of the nation's toughest schedules with seven games against teams that have appeared in the Xcellent 25 this season.
