Grace Academy came tearing into Friday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on Austin Royals HomeSchool with a sharp 50-28 victory. Grace Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.
Reagan Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Shell, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Grace Academy pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Austin Royals HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Founders Classical Academy at 1:30 p.m. on January 20th. Founders Classical Academy's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Grace Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. Hopefully Salt and Light Homeschool focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday.
