Manila's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Riley Browning led the charge by dropping a double-double on 34 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Browning has scored at least a third of Manila's points. Wyatt Muir was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten assists.
Tintic's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Ward, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hagen Barton, who scored 14 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Manila and bumps their season record up to 10-3. As for Tintic, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manila won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Tabiona at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. Tabiona is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. As for Tintic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Intermountain Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Intermountain Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Tuesday.
