Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 16 to 4 on the offensive boards, a fact the Silver Bluff Bulldogs proved on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against Pelion by the margin of a single free throw, 39-38. The win made it back-to-back wins for Silver Bluff.
Deshawn Wells was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. Jaydon Eason was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Pelion still got an impressive performance from Lucas New, who scored 19 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolton Rogers, who scored two points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Silver Bluff's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Pelion, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
