The Batavia Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Brother Rice Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Batavia entered their tilt with Glenbard North with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Batavia blew past Glenbard North, posting a 41-7 win at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-0.
Ryan Boe had a dynamite game for Batavia, throwing for 360 yards and six touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Luke Alwin, who picked up 167 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Brother Rice faced St. Rita in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Brother Rice was the clear victor by a 42-21 margin over St. Rita. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Brother Rice.
Batavia's victory was their seventh straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points per game. As for Brother Rice, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
