In what's become a running theme this season, the Hooper Bay Warriors gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They put the hurt on Unalaska with a sharp 69-49 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Hooper Bay has posted since January 4th.
Hooper Bay got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Latrell Lake out in front who scored 29 points. Carson Long was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Hooper Bay's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. As for Unalaska, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hooper Bay and Unalakleet will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Unalaska will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cook Inlet Academy at 4:30 p.m. on February 16th.
