The Stafford Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Otis-Bison Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Stafford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
Stafford couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell to St. John 41-35.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jimi Oleson, who scored 9 points along with 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brody Kerschenske, who scored 9 points along with 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Otis-Bison had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their match on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 66-13 victory over Natoma.
Stafford's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Otis-Bison, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Everything came up roses for Stafford against Otis-Bison in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 55-24 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stafford since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
