Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Riverdale

Riverdale put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Milledgeville Missiles. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Danika Saddoris made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That run was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Breckin DeLaRosa was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Katie Cox, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Riverdale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .552. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Riverdale's record is now 4-0. As for Milledgeville, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Riverdale didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 defeat against Dunlap on the 22nd. As for Milledgeville, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-1 loss against Altamont on the 22nd.
