Granger and Kearns are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Granger will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Back in December of 2024, Granger got the win against Logan by a conclusive 55-34.

Granger found their leader in sophomore Hoku Pili, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 boards. Pili is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Kato Makoni was another key player, putting up ten points and seven steals.
Granger smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Kearns posted their closest victory since November 26, 2024 last Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Juan Diego Catholic, sneaking past 40-37. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Kearns' win came from a few key players Granger will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mina Kinikini, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Lia Benson, who posted seven points and three steals.
Granger is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Kearns, their record is now 5-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Granger has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 39.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Kearns struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Granger was taken down by Kearns 69-25 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Granger, Adhau Chol (who went 7 of 12 on her way to 18 points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks) won't be suiting up this time.
