The Northside L Lions stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They really took it to Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-43 victory on the road. Winning may never get old, but Northside L sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Northside L's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but JOEY HEASTON led the charge by scoring 26 points along with five rebounds. HEASTON is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. DUKE KARNES was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Northside L's win bumped their record up to 24-4. As for Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
Northside L will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Horizon Christian at 6:00 p.m. on February 10th. As for Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats, they will head out on the road to face off against Meadowdale at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
