Lakewood found their leader in freshman Areona McKoy, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 15 points and seven steals. McKoy's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiyah Braxton, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.
Hobbton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Lakewood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-3.
As of now, neither Hobbton nor Lakewood have any future games scheduled.
