The Greenville Green Wave lost against the Sidney Yellowjackets back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Greenville took a 56-41 bruising from Sidney. Greenville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Greenville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jack Chick, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five assists. Chick also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Hamilton, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, Greenville were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Greenville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Sidney, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.
Greenville will look to defend their home court on Friday against Tippecanoe at 7:15 p.m. Tippecanoe is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. As for Sidney, they will head out on the road to face off against Troy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
