After a string of three wins, Athens's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vinton County Vikings. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in January.

Nuzum is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. Hayden Hughes was another key player, going 6 for 8 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds.
Athens' defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for Vinton County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
