After flying high against the Mohave Accelerated Patriots last Thursday, the Kingman Academy Tigers came back down to earth. Kingman Academy took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. John Paul II Catholic on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Kingman Academy of the 46-28 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture two weeks ago.
Despite the defeat, Kingman Academy saw an underclassman step up: Taylee Mote dropped a double-double on 18 points and 22 rebounds. Mote continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Kingman Academy now has a losing record at 9-10. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
Kingman Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-23 win vs. Trivium Prep on the 6th. St. John Paul II Catholic has also already played their next game, a 57-22 loss against Arizona Lutheran Academy on the 6th.
