Salmon River extended the longest winning streak in 1A Long Pin (8 Man) this week by beating Dietrich, 44-0. This was the team's 11th consecutive win.
Council made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 81 from 152. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 24-12 victory over Lighthouse Christian last week.
The Lumberjacks' Mick Wilson and Corbin Hedges led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Wilson has thrown for 1,500 yards this season, while Hedges has 43 catches for 940 yards. Wilder's Aj Castellanos leads the league in rushing yards with 1,554.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Council and Salmon River. Dan Shumway's team enters the contest ranked seventh in the state, while Charlie Shepherd's team ranks second.
The Lumberjacks' offense has racked up 406 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Savages have allowed only 80 on the year.
Council's Hedges is only 60 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Salmon River. So far this year, he has acheived 43 catches for 940 yards.
The Savages led 1A Long Pin (8 Man) in scoring this week by notching 44 points on the Blue Devils.
