The Rio Hondo Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Port Isabel. The shutout was out of character for Rio Hondo seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in January.
Rio Hondo dropped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Port Isabel, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6-1.
Rio Hondo will head out on the road to face off against La Feria at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rio Hondo's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Port Isabel, they will be playing at home against IDEA Sports Park at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
