In what's become a running theme this season, Concord Academy gave their fans yet another huge  win on Friday. Everything went their way against the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots as the Concord Academy Eagles made off with  a  13-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for Concord Academy, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Gunner Lyne made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits. Lyne has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive pitching appearances. Lyne was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Teagan Jordan was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games he's  played.  Kadan Hopkins was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with four  RBI, a  stolen base,  and a  run.
 Concord Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Piedmont Community Charter, their loss  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 10-7.
 Concord Academy will take on Gaston Christian at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Piedmont Community Charter, they will head out on the road to  square off against  North Hills Christian at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. North Hills Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.5  runs per game  this season.
