The Kelvyn Park Panthers will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Wells Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.
Kelvyn Park suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 36-13 loss at the hands of Austin College and Career Academy. Kelvyn Park has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Wells' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Foreman at home by a decisive 36-18 margin.
Despite the loss, Wells saw an underclassman step up: Ayanna Allison scored three points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.
Kelvyn Park has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Wells, their loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8.
Kelvyn Park was taken down by Wells 68-29 in their previous meeting back in December of 2015. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Kelvyn Park was down 44-14.
