Even though the Clarke County Bulldogs scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, the Chickasaw Chieftains still came out on top. Chickasaw walked away with a 68-58 win over Clarke County. The win made it back-to-back wins for Chickasaw.
Chickasaw's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but JaMarion Osborne led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Osborne is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Sydrus Gilmore was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Chickasaw is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Clarke County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chickasaw will play host again and welcome Satsuma, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clarke County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Thomasville at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. Thomasville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
