Giddings is 10-0 against Smithville since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Giddings Buffaloes will look to defend their home pitch against the Smithville Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Giddings has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 36 goals over their last five matches.
Giddings put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They never let Rockdale onto the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Give Giddings' defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Jaida Rodea.
Meanwhile, Smithville didn't have quite enough to beat Taylor last Tuesday and fell 2-1.
Giddings pushed their record up to 10-0-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those three matches. As for Smithville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-5.
Everything went Giddings' way against Smithville in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 as Giddings made off with a 6-0 win. Does Giddings have another victory up their sleeve, or will Smithville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
