After a string of three wins, the Grove Christian School Falcons's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 31-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grace Christian School. Grove Christian School was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Grace Christian School apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josalyn Youngblood, who scored no points along with six steals. Lizzie Featherstone was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Grove Christian School's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Grace Christian School, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grove Christian School will challenge Denbigh Baptist Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Denbigh Baptist Christian's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so Grove Christian School's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Grace Christian School, they will head out on the road to challenge Richmond Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
