The Torrington Raiders won the last time they faced the Derby Red Raiders, and things went their way on Friday too. Torrington simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Derby 60-16 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Torrington.
Torrington can attribute much of their success to Leanna Harvey, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Haley Burger was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Torrington's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Derby, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Torrington will head out on the road to face off against Watertown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Derby will be home for the holidays to greet Kennedy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
