Leading Madisonville to victory were Quin'eysia Shaffer and Olyvia Brooks. Shaffer scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Brooks dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Shaffer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Ke'Myreul Wheaton was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six assists.
Madisonville's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Jacksonville, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 26-9.
