Loyalsock Township's rough 73-49 defeat to Cowanesque Valley on Friday might stick with them for a while. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Loyalsock Township came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Cowanesque Valley is ranked 475th).
Despite the loss, Loyalsock Township still got an impressive performance from Tyler Gee, who threw for 118 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Jaylen Andrews was in the mix as well, providing Loyalsock Township with two touchdowns.
Loyalsock Township's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Cowanesque Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Loyalsock Township will take on Warrior Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cowanesque Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
