There's no place like home for the Shore Regional Blue Devils, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against Central Regional by a score of 55-47 on Saturday. For Shore Regional, this counts as revenge for the 53-51 defeat Central Regional walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2021.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shore Regional to victory, but perhaps none more so than Conley Smolokoff, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Ava Coyle was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Shore Regional has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Central Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.
Shore Regional will head out on the road to challenge Howell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Shore Regional focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday. As for Central Regional, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lacey Township at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Jersey (Central Regional is ranked 267th, while Lacey Township is ranked 272nd).
