Boonville has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Benton Central Bison at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, Boonville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-53 to Evansville Bosse.
Meanwhile, Benton Central pushed their score all the way to 62 last Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Tri-West Hendricks by a score of 65-62. It was the first time this season that Benton Central let down their fans at home.
Boonville bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Benton Central, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3.
