The Lee Christian Falcons had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 67-56 win over Kerr-Vance Academy on Monday. The win was just what Lee Christian needed coming off of a 86-64 defeat in their prior matchup.
Lee Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Rumbold, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Rumbold has scored at least a third of Lee Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Chris Farrar, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Kerr-Vance Academy still got an impressive performance from Tim Hudson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hudson has scored all season. Rakia Terry was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds.
Lee Christian now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-13.
Lee Christian will take on Cresset Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Halifax Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Halifax Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Friday.
