The Richmond City School of the Arts Bulldogs couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Midlothian on Tuesday, falling 70-19. Richmond City School of the Arts was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-12.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Laylianah McBrayer, who scored 7 points.
Richmond City School of the Arts' loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Midlothian, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Richmond City School of the Arts will head out on the road to face off against Clover Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Midlothian, they will be playing at home against L.C. Bird at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully L.C. Bird focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Monday.
