The Reeltown Rebels lost against the LaFayette Bulldogs last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Reeltown was dealt a 65-33 defeat at the hands of LaFayette. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Reeltown has scored all season.
Deaundra Vines continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for LaFayette, scoring 16 points along with seven assists and five steals. Vines has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vaderrian Story, who scored 18 points.
Reeltown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for LaFayette, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.
Reeltown won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Horseshoe Bend at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Horseshoe Bend and Reeltown are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for LaFayette, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Lanett at 4:30 p.m. on January 19th. Lanett will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while LaFayette is ranked 117th).
