They really took it to Eastside College Prep for the full four quarters, racking up a 80-33 victory at home. That looming 80-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Sacred Heart Prep yet this season.
Sacred Heart Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drew Wagner, who scored 13 points. The matchup was Wagner's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Matthew Wendling was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
The victory was the third in a row (dating back to last season) for Sacred Heart Prep, bringing their record for this year to 9-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Eastside College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2.
Sacred Heart Prep will face off against Lincoln at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Eastside College Prep, they will be playing at home against Crystal Springs Uplands at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
