EVAN ZENTZ made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over 4.2 innings pitched. He also allowed no hits, which is notable because Blue River Valley is 5-2 when he allows at most three hits, but 1-2 otherwise. ZENTZ was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Blue River Valley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Cowan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
