Alora Martinez Drops League-Best Effort on Wednesday

Sasha Calanni put up the most rushing yards she's had since back in August on Wednesday. She rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. She got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 54 yards.
Green Mountain's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3. Calanni and Green Mountain will square off against Arvada West at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Ashley Cortez Turns in Another Game with at Least Five Total Tackles
Ashley Cortez continued her hot streak on Wednesday by dropping her tenth-straight game with at least five total tackles. She made eight total tackles and defended two passes in addition to snagging an interception. She is becoming a predictor of Evergreen's success: when she posts at least one interception the team is 3-1 (and 4-5 when she doesn't).
Evergreen is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6. Cortez and Evergreen will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pomona at 9:00 a.m. on October 26th.
