Frankton has gone a perfect 6-0 against Eastern Hancock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Royals at 11:00 a.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Frankton will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Blackford on Thursday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Bruins. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Brady Carmack made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, Caine Oakley was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Frankton's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 4-8 when he doesn't). Shaun Jarrett was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs and two RBI.
Frankton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They are 8-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Eastern Hancock entered their tilt with Indianapolis Scecina Memorial on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Crusaders. The Royals not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30th (when they won 13-2).
The team relied heavily on Hayden Rouse, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolt Wilson, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Frankton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Eastern Hancock, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11-1.
Eastern Hancock's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Frankton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .471. It's a different story for Eastern Hancock, though, as they've only averaged .359. Will they be able to contain Frankton's hitters?
Frankton took their win against Eastern Hancock in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 14-3 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
