If the Concord Christian Lions were riding high  off their  85-58 takedown of the Clayton-Bradley Academy Blazers last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Concord Christian suffered a  rough 78-53 loss at the hands of Boyd-Buchanan  on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Concord Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings  (they are ranked 262nd, while Boyd-Buchanan is ranked 94th).
 Despite the loss, Concord Christian still got an impressive performance from   Dominic Alford, who  scored 19 points along with six  assists and six  rebounds.  Drew Sloan was another key contributor,  scoring ten points.
 Concord Christian now  has a losing record at 8-9. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concord Christian will  take on First Baptist Academy at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. First Baptist Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they will head out on the road to  take on  St. Andrews-Sewanee at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. St. Andrews-Sewanee is on a three-game streak of home wins, Boyd-Buchanan a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
