St. Michael is 2-8 against Hope Christian since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Horsemen will host the Huskies at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
St. Michael's is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past East Mountain 26-5 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Horsemen sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Aaliyah Gallegos was a standout: she scored four runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaslene Ramirez, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
St. Michael's was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .444 that East Mountain posted.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Hope Christian and Del Norte, and Hope Christian kept the tradition alive. The Huskies put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 13-3 victory on Tuesday.
Iliana Cordova made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Cordova was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
In other batting news, Ava Jimenez was incredible, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4. Lola Madrid was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
St. Michael's pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.1 runs over those games. As for Hope Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Both St. Michael's and Hope Christian just can't seem to miss. The Horsemen have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Hope Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.9 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
St. Michael's couldn't quite finish off Hope Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 9-7. Can the Horsemen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
