Basketball Recap: Bishop Ludden Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bishop Ludden walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Rome Free Academy Black Knights 60-58. That's more bragging rights for the Gaelic Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Rome Free Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isabella Cunningham, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Haylee Bostwick, who posted 15 points and seven boards.

With the victory, Bishop Ludden broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-5. As for Rome Free Academy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.

Looking ahead, Bishop Ludden will square off against Liverpool at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Rome Free Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
