Olive has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Olive Wildcats and the Shidler Tigers will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Olive is ranked 467th, while Shidler is ranked 471st).
Olive suffered their biggest defeat since January 4th on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Yale, falling 66-38.
Meanwhile, Shidler scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They came out on top against Wellston by a score of 53-42. The win was some much needed relief for Shidler as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Olive bumped their record down to 2-16 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Shidler, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-16.
Olive couldn't quite finish off Shidler in their previous matchup on January 2nd and fell 50-47. Can Olive avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
