The Chattahoochee Cougars entered their tilt with the Lumpkin County Indians with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Chattahoochee walked away with a 66-58 victory over Lumpkin County on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Chattahoochee found their leader in underclassman Brooklinne Dorr, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Riley Berninger was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Chattahoochee's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Lumpkin County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Chattahoochee is on the road again on Friday and play against Banks County at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Lumpkin County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against West-Oak at 4:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Hopefully West-Oak focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday.
