Parkwood is 1-9 against Monroe since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Parkwood Wolf Pack will be playing at home against the Monroe Redhawks at 7:30 p.m. Parkwood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 580 points over their last nine games.
Even though Anson scored an imposing 65 points on Thursday, Parkwood still came out on top. Parkwood walked away with a 74-65 victory over Anson.
Parkwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron McKinney, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. McKinney is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last ten games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Paulhill, who scored 25 points.
Meanwhile, Monroe's game on Thursday was all tied up 17-17 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against West Stanly by a score of 50-37.
Monroe's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryson Simpkins, who scored nine points. Kaegan Chambers was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Parkwood has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Monroe, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
