The York Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 43-24 to Indian Land. York was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Indian Land apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Indian Land found their leader in underclassman Emily Callahan, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Callahan has scored all season. Charlotte Kemp was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five assists and five steals.
York has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Indian Land, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 7-13.
York will head out on the road to square off against Indian Land at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Indian Land focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. As for they, they will be playing at home against York at 6:15 p.m. York comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
