The Moline Maroons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their eighth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 56-33 walloping at the hands of Quincy. Moline has not had much luck with Quincy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Leading Quincy to victory were Taylor Fohey and Myley Longcor. Fohey scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Longcor scored 14 points along with two steals. Leila Dade was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Moline has not been sharp recently as the team has lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-23 record this season. As for Quincy, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-6.
Moline will be playing in front of their home fans against East Moline United at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Moline United will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Moline surely won't give up without a fight. Quincy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
