In what's become a running theme this season, the Haines City Hornets gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 64-13 win over Mater Brighton Lakes Academy at home. The victory was just what Haines City needed coming off of a 70-45 loss in their prior match.
Arissa Jenkins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points. Another player making a difference was Amari Thomas, who scored 13 points.
Haines City has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which lines up perfectly with their 12-4 record this season. As for Mater Brighton Lakes Academy, their loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-11.
Haines City will square off against Spruce Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Mater Brighton Lakes Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Davenport at 6:30 p.m. on January 18th. Davenport presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mater Brighton Lakes Academy in Florida (Davenport is ranked 243rd, while Mater Brighton Lakes Academy is ranked 631st).
