Baraga is 8-2 against L'Anse since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Baraga Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the L'Anse Purple Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Baraga has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Baraga scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Dollar Bay 70-18 on the road. Given Baraga's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Dollar Bay is ranked 396th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, L'Anse had to endure a four-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They skirted past Forest Park 36-33.
Baraga's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for L'Anse, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Baraga took their victory against L'Anse in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 64-38. Does Baraga have another victory up their sleeve, or will L'Anse turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
