Softball Recap: Reed Extends Winning Streak to Three

Reed extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 23-4-1 in the process. They blew past the Reno Huskies 14-2. Considering the Raiders have won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Tiare Kanae, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassandra Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Reed always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Reno only posted an OBP of .409.

As for Reno, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 20 of their last 21 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-27-1 record this season. Their defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it 14 in a row.

On Reno's side, Amelia Weiss made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Coincidentally, Reed and Reno will both be playing McQueen the next time they take the field. The Raiders will head out to face the Lancers at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, while the Huskies will host them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
