On Saturday, Colonial earned a 47-34 win over Pikesville.
Colonial was led to victory by Jasmine Bocca and Carmen Richardson. Bocca scored 11 points along with four steals, while Richardson scored 18 points along with five assists and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Bocca. The team also got some help courtesy of Cherish Risbrook, who scored six points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Pikesville saw an underclassman step up: Mariah Jones-Bey scored five points along with six rebounds and five assists. Tykeisha Hill was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Colonial has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Pikesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Colonial and Oak Ridge will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Oak Ridge is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Pikesville will take on Dundalk at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
