Glen Rock has won three straight games at home, while Pompton Lakes has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much  on Tuesday. The Panthers will welcome the Cardinals  at 4:00  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (Glen Rock 0.2, Pompton Lakes 1.7) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
Pompton Lakes' hitters are going to have their work cut out for them  on Tuesday: Glen Rock hadn't allowed a single  run the last three times they've hit the field. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology  a   15-0 shutout  on Friday. Fans of the Panthers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+  runs.
 D Stutske looked comfortable as he  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 At the plate, Glen Rock let  Zack Silberstien and  Maddox Tennant run wild. Silberstien  went a perfect 2-for-2 with five  RBI and three  runs, while  Tennant  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Those  RBI marked the first that  Silberstien  brought in this season.  Evan Lagemann was another key player,  scoring three  runs while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Pompton Lakes posted their closest  victory since May 13, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Butler, sneaking past  1-0. The  win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.
Not much got past  Vinnie Stigliano, who gave up just  three  hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Butler off the board. Stigliano has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  a single  walk in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Pompton Lakes' victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Angelo Fusaro, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Glen Rock's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Pompton Lakes, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
 Glen Rock was able to grind out a solid  win over Pompton Lakes when the teams last played  back in May of 2024, winning  6-3. Will the Panthers repeat their success,  or do  the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
