Delhi is 6-0 against Block since December of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Delhi Bears will look to defend their home court against the Block Bears at 6:00 p.m. Delhi will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Delhi posted their biggest victory since December 16, 2023 on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 70-33 win over Delta Charter on the road. Given Delhi's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Delta Charter is ranked 366th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Delhi got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Dural out in front who scored 15 points along with three steals. Dural hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ge'ryl Barnes, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Block posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They didn't even let Sicily Island onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Block has scored all year.
Delhi is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Block, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.
Delhi strolled past Block when the teams last played on January 9th by a score of 55-39. Does Delhi have another victory up their sleeve, or will Block turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
