Verdigris came tearing into Friday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Skiatook Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Verdigris' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Skiatook, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-11.

Skiatook didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-5 win against Vinita on the 3rd. Hopefully Verdigris paid attention to the Bulldogs' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bulldogs on Saturday.
